Gund Sesame Street Soft and Shaggy Elmo 14" Plush

Gund Sesame Street Soft and Shaggy Elmo 14" Plush Review

Well, I don't know who the genius was who came up with the Elmo character but he really knows what kids like. I got this puppet for my son when he was about 18 months old and he adored it. He was in love with Elmo from a book (we don't even watch TV and he had never even seen Sesame street). He loves playing with the puppet. The mouth is easy for his small hands to move, plus it is a plush toy so it is also like a stuffed animal for him. Now he is 2.5 and still loves it and so does our 5 month old baby. If he is crying all you need to do to make him stop is have Elmo talk to him. The problem we are now dealing with is that they both want it! This puppet only allows mouth movement, but I think this is good for a small child because they don't have enough dexterity to move mouth and hands anyways.

Now for a few small cons: the shaggy hair shed a bit when we first got it-it seemed to stop after about a month, but it did happen; it is only surface washable-this can be a pretty big deal if your child takes elmo everywhere (as mine does), but we have managed.

I still gave it a 5 though because I just can't overstate how much my children love this toy.
